Dr. Allison Pye

Dr. Pye graduated from Rice University where she was a scholarship varsity athlete in cross country and track and field. She was a Conference USA Scholar Athlete of the Year and earned NCAA Academic All-American honors. Dr. Pye attended medical school at UT Health San Antonio and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor societies.

During her internship at UT Health San Antonio, she was awarded Intern of the Year and Gold Humanism teaching awards. She completed her Dermatology residency at UT Houston and MD Anderson Cancer Center where she gained extensive experience in cutaneous oncology and medical dermatology.

Dr. Pye is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Texas Dermatology Society, and San Antonio Dermatology Society. She is also a faculty member of both UT Health San Antonio and the Department of Veterans Affairs and enjoys teaching medical students and training dermatology residents.

When not working, Dr. Pye enjoys spending time with her husband and young daughter as well as running, reading, and playing tennis. She is active in her community and has served on charitable boards for both the Children’s Bereavement Center and the Paul Wiegand Foundation.
